well first of all WHAT A TERRIBLE RECESSION we have been through and are still in at the moment despite all the talking up of the UK and its economy. I still see people and close friends daily who are losing their jobs, taking huge pay cuts for the second and third time and it shows me that this recession is still far from over. Well we have been quiet for the last year just ticking over and making sure we could ride out the recession while slowly building the member base. We have proven we are here for the long term and are reliable and dependable. Whenever we are asked to do anything from small to big by our members we always try and act quickly and in the interest of the member and of course this will continue. Now we feel is a good opportunity to have another upwards and onwards push....so by that I mean we will be redirecting larger volumes of traffic to this website and increasing our advertising spend within sustainable levels. It appears that many people like our honest no hype no bs approach.
They also like the fact that unlike some other adult websites (particularly in the dating niche) we NEVER send out fake emails (pretending to get members interest, making the member think there is booking interest and initially they are onto a good thing)....instead we may seem like "half dead" at times but although fewer emails at least the conversion rate is much higher because the emails are less but they are from genuine real people and not "interest generating fakes". Anyway the traffic redirection and increased advertising will hopefully give increased emails too. People seeking services have complained that many girls do not answer their emails and this of course is not good. For this reason alone I much prefer to see a phone number by every profile so at least the service seeker can make immediate contact which is often what is required.
I'm thinking of putting the webcam module back into youadults again and see if we can start to build enough traffic for a few ladies to earn a little on this site. We will be using exactly the same setup as adultwork use so it's proven and familiar to many girls. This site was designed by a great team of developers and for the last few years has been completely "bomb proof" with no outages, no loss of data, and as reliable as a swiss watch (probably made in taiwan)...well this is NOT a challenge to a hacker to try and take the site down because of course somewhere there will be someone clever (or stupid) enough to do this but I mention it just to make users feel safe in the knowledge that this site has weathered the recession and ideally placed for moving up the league as the economy improves. Although I hate partnerships and trust no one I am always open to approaches from serious investors because believe me there is a market to attack and huge improvements can be made over existing offerings in the market BUT of course at a cost. This version of the website took us 4 months of development (I think it was even more) So it was no surprise that we wanted to see how the website will be viewed by the public before we do any more work.
In past couple of weeks, you saw some changes, for example we took away the Direct Cams, Agencies, etc. Some things just cluttered the site and made a bit harder to use. Right now we are focusing on simplicity and community.

Well what an end of year it's been with nothing but despair and heartache for the UK economy and worldwide too. Knowing how these things tend to work I expect to see the first four months with terrible bad news as companies fold and jump on the bandwagon of giving all bad news out and blame it on the economy (true of course) and then when the sun comes out our footsie will see glimmers of hope and the housing market will have reached rock bottom and the press will focus on the seedlings of recovery. I know it may sound silly and optimistic but I bet that's what happens because despite all of our problems we are still in the best country in the world and have very much going for us in so many ways. Things had to stop but remember they ALWAYS have to recover....the trick is just surviving until the green shoots of recovery start to come. So hang on in there and cut back outgoings as much as you can to help survival.
I wish to thank all of you who have joined the site and added your own unique profile and I sincerely hope we will all prosper from the middle of 2009 onwards but it won't be sooner. Best Wishes

I feel that all decent human beings owe a huge debt of gratitude to the newspapers who have piled so much pressure onto the government to take swift decisive action over this tragic case. I am very pleased to see that the lady who wound me up so much in the first place with her pathetic remarks that they had no grounds to discipline anyone (sharon shoesmith) has been dismissed and of course others around her too. Clearly the media and more importantly the government minister Ed Balls took the same view as me. So while I do not intend to make blogs on subjects such as this a formality I think you will agree that it was something that stirred many emotions in all decent people. Today we added sms payment option. It's a secure (but expensive) method of funding an account because the telecoms companies take a large majority of any funding. Also found some issues with voice mail box and phone chat numbers having developed a fault so not working which we hope to sort tomorrow. I have already listed on this site who and how to make contact with the best support groups and police if you ever suspect or know of such abuse and I urge you all (agencies, independents and punters) to be ever vigilant and act responsibly.
Also I would welcome any thoughts by serious thinkers or adult industry help groups on whether sites like YouAdults.com are actually helping or hindering this serious trafficking and forced sex slavery problem, and any constructive suggestions will be VERY welcome. By monday we will install another payment option (by sms) as well as moved phone options onto the profile pages. Lots of other things too. Also fixed an Internet explorer bug that was not allowing 60% of our members to see images enlarge in the free area. This is now sorted already and the effect is cool. I cried this evening when I listened to the evening news and heard of the tragic death of baby P. and the systematic torture he went through over a period of many months. How can people in any civilised society do such cruel acts to a helpless baby...it beggars belief and clearly the current education and social systems are failing.
What really makes my blood boil is when our society is prepared to complain in its thousands about trivia and silliness i.e. a stupid sex spoof by Johnathon Ross and Russel Brand of a girl who is "hardly an angel" and yet we will sit by and blindly do nothing when a spokesman decides that "there's not enough evidence for dismissal over this" so they get a written warning instead!
For christ's sake!!...This catalogue of incompetence perpetrated by the establishment including the paediatrician who examined this baby days before his death and failed to spot his injuries MUST warrant a dismissal. I simply do not believe this could not have been avoided by correct decision making. Now obviously I do NOT know all the facts but in my view if a child warrants 60 visits and has 50 injuries then something is VERY SERIOUSLY wrong. So when did the establishment intend to step in and remove the child?
I understand even the police dropped their investigation 1 day before the child's death (probably on legal instruction due to insufficient evidence). We are going to have to stop being this nice cosy society, too afraid to say what needs to be said and we should force parents to take lie detector tests as a very minimum requirement once certain criteria are reached. Questioning can be supervised to ensure only correct questions are asked, but this lady (the mother) shows you CANNOT trust people by their word and even the best trained health carers, enforcers can be fooled by lies and deception.
Of course during this period of arranging lie detector tests the baby should be removed to proper care. What worries me also is that this is the second death since the victoria climbie case and another very serious example of negligence in haringey council...are the same people in management who were 8 years ago? Did they implement all recommendations back then? Don't tell me.....forcing people to take a lie detector test is an infringement of their liberty and human rights....blah, blah, blah....Surely when a paediatrician examines a child they MUST remove all clothing, bath the child to remove any masking attempts and then do a thorough examination and if anything odd is spotted then you act (until the responsible person has proved they are not to blame i.e. lie detector test and other evidence). Any normal decent parent would not hesitate to take such a test if it meant they could have their child back within days.
I am VERY emotional at the moment because although I have become hardened to war and so many other atrocities carried out in far off places I simply cannot accept the unaccountability for this tragedy of allowing this baby to be tortured much of his 17 month life right on our doorstep!
As for the adults who carried out this torture I hope they all rot in jail!

It has been a long road, however we have finally made it. After minutes, hours, days, weeks, months thank god not years website is complete.
Chris is the one who does all the long speeches about the future and what not, I am the one that bores you to death with technological mumbo jumbo, so if you are not a competitor or technological weirdo look away now, just kidding I will talk in simple language.
When we have sat down to write YouAdults.com Mark 2, what was very clear is that it needed to be quick, easy to use, and most important secure.
We didn’t want to focus on adult market for example of what we wanted to become, we focused on much bigger websites, such as facebook. One thing that striked me about that site is the technology that they have implemented and how it scales amazingly.
We have sat many nights writing platform for PHP that will scale and will take adult industry to the next level. I strongly believe that our team has accomplished this. We are not facebook, and probably will never hit their capacity range as we are not main stream market, and we are not governed by CIA. However we have enough brains to figure out what technology they are using and what kind of platform they have built, so we simply reverse engineered it.
As it was mentioned we have had quite a few bugs in our system to start with, but thanks to our members, they have been smoothly ironed out! Mark 2 is now becoming more and more stable and we are not done yet, we have quite a few things we want to put in place.
I strongly believe that we will be working on Mark 2 for at least another 6 months until we hit the final version. After which Mark 3 will follow shortly. We are planning to be here for a while, and personally I can’t wait. Everyday at youadults.com is like Christmas. After a frustratingly long wait for the new site design to appear....it finally has! I did promise in my old blogs to hide away and not speak any more until it completed in an effort to take all pressure of the programmers (and to stop making myself look a prat!). HOORAY!
So, what we have now is YouAdults.com Mark II and we have been steadily growing and currently get 30 to 50 new sign ups on an average day and occasionally many times more than that on a dream day! The most important thing about this is that we are achieving it on a sustainable advertising and promotional budget.
We don't have endless pots of gold to take over the adult industry as for example do Adult.friendfinder, whose banners appear absolutely everywhere.....In fact I'm fully expecting their branding to soon start appearing on every day items such as toilet paper so they make inroads into every room in my home and start to brainwash me even as I crap!
I'm actually just jealous of course that whereas we have to work bloody hard for every new customer and do it through a combination of raw talent, market awareness, drive, energy, guile and sheer bloody hard work, some sites are born with a silver spoon and can just buy everyone's very soul! Nothing against them (they are actually very good) but it's just that we are very different to them. I tell you this because we are seeing some great new activity and people are starting to use us but it will take time.
You know it's simply not possible to go from zero to hero overnight. Another market leader in our type of niche is AW but they were not an overnight success. In fact it took them many years to make any inroads (I know) and when girls and guys come on our site and expect us to be as busy as them it simply won't happen overnight and I refuse to change my principles and start employing pretend people to send out fake auto generated emails that make a site look busy (by the way, they never did that but many sites today do).
